Swan Lake is a timeless ballet set to Tchaikovsky’s music. Prince Siegfried, pressured to choose a bride, wanders into the forest and encounters Odette, a princess cursed by the evil sorcerer Rothbart to live as a swan by day. Only true love can break the spell. At a royal ball, Rothbart tricks Siegfried into pledging love to Odile, his daughter disguised as Odette. Realizing his mistake, Siegfried rushes to Odette, but the curse cannot be undone. In some versions, they tragically drown together; in others, love triumphs, breaking the spell and uniting them in the afterlife.
